Does anyone know the dates for Fuji Rock 2011?
Thanks.
[334] Jill (2010/08/03 Tue 16:53)
They will be officially announced on January 1.

Thanks for the reply.
I should have been more specific - I was wondering if anyone knew the dates unofficially.

The festival is usually held for three days,
from the last Friday in July to the following Sunday.
So next year's Fuji Rock will be held from July 29th to 31st.

Hello,
I'm finding friends I've met on FRF 2010.
Her name is Janine, she's American but lives in Japan.
To be specific, her friend who's my friend also is the guy who plays football in the festival (Yeah, I saw only one man who plays football there.) I can't remember his name but he's American also. And another lady who's Janine's friend, I can't remember her name.
They're so nice, I was there alone from Thailand.
I really wish to see them again, maybe in Thailand or in Japan one day! If anyone knows them, it'd be thankful. ^_^

Ty.
I'm a huge fan of John Fogerty, so does anyone have good pictures , movies, flyers, posters tickets or whatever on his show in Fuji ? Would be willing to trade against whatever you are looking for !
Many thanks in advance, Robert (Belgium)

Hi fujirockers
We are two Swiss-Italians friends attending FRF for 5th year in a row and in order to meet some people, we propose to make a meeing on Friday! I did this for my first FRF and met friends for the rest of the we!
We propose to meet us at heineken stand on the left side of the green stage (looking at the green stage, left side on a slope - basically between green stage and oasis) at 3pm of Friday afternoon! We accept any other meeting points/ hours if you will arrive later! Invitation is of course opened to Japanese people as well!!!!
Hope to see many of you soon

Hey!
Wow, this is a great idea! But I will arrive there in the night of Friday unfortunately....Do you have any other meeting plan after that?

[326] Alex & Nello (2010/07/28 Wed 17:00)
Cool!
I checked my schedule of Sunday, and it seems I can make it! Let's get together on Sunday as well!

Hi, I am not planning on going this year, but I am just curious about a few things for the future...
First of all, I know drugs are illegal in Japan. However most festivals I have been to in the UK seem to have many drugs being carryed about by people.
Is there many people at the Fuji festival that sell or even consume drugs??
Also.. are foriegners welcome? I am a very social artist and I'd love to meet new people!
I love Nippon, but I don't think it would be a 'Rock Festival' without Sex Drugs and Rock n Roll!

does anyone know if we're allowed to bring alcohol into the campsite? thanx
[318] g man (2010/07/27 Tue 21:47) mail
As long as it's in PET bottles and not glass bottles or cans, it's ok!
[319] CE (2010/07/27 Tue 23:37) web
You can bring any alcohol with PET, bottle or can to campsite, but you cannot bring any bottles and cans inside the festival gate :)
Let's get drunk :D
[322] Ai (2010/07/28 Wed 11:14)
Booze :)
[324] Chris (2010/07/28 Wed 14:09)
pet bottles are allowed at the festival gate

To all those who might have experienced early-Monday return in the previous years: how many shuttle buses are driving between 5 and 6 in the morning?
Is it recommended to be at the buses "very" early in order to be sure not to miss the early Shinkansen at 6:00?
How long are the queues for the shuttle buses around that time?
Thanks!
[316] Phil (2010/07/27 Tue 15:03)
I've never taken the bus, but I've seen pretty long queues when I've been walking back to my hotel room at 6 am on Monday morn.
I think the shuttle bus takes around 40 minutes so you are going to want to be on the first bus leaving to catch the 6am Shinkansen. If it were me, I'd get to the line a few hours early just to be safe. If the line is small, you can always duck into the Palace of Wonder for a bit and then go back

i read on that blog (posted below) that you'll need batteries to charge your phone/camera/torch/etc. but what if your stuff (camera in particular) has its own rechargeable battery? is there a place i'll be able to plug in so that my stuff lasts all 3 days? i'll be taking a loooot of videos. thanks for the help!
[315] Vanessa (2010/07/27 Tue 09:47)
Hi Vanessa last year I asked to some people having their stands on site and if you are lucky, someone will help you! However be ready to accept some negative answers before finding him...

I didn't make the cut for parking lot tickets. As for as I can tell they're not selling parking lot tickets any more (if anyone has info the contrary please let me know).
Does anyone know if parking spaces outside the official parking area are plentiful? I read on the Japanese BBS that there are, but still trying to track down reliable info. Any would be appreciated.

hey man, saw your post, could you share the knowledge on this carpark situation, if you have heard back from anyone?
I am struggling with the same issue. thanks
[310] Paul (2010/07/26 Mon 11:37) mail
You can find Yado's unofficial parking space around fes ground!!!!!!!!!!!!!Don't be nervous!!!
If you are super worry about that!Go at Thursday night or Friday morning!!!!!!You will find shiny park space ...And you can also reserve by direct telephone to Yado.
[311] English Master (2010/07/26 Mon 22:10)
As English Master replied, many hotels and hostels offer their parking. If you go there on Thursday, it should be okay, but on Friday or later, I am not sure if you can get one.
[317] Ai (2010/07/27 Tue 16:04)
Caution: This may or may not be a dumb question but I'd appreciate the help either way.
So I bought a one day ticket for Sunday (Massive Attack, Vampire Weekend, Air (yes!)) and camping today. Is the camping good for every night of the festival or just Sunday night? I was hoping to come early and camp out Saturday night too so I didn't have to wake up early to catch a train. Advice?
Also is The Palace of Wonder area free for anyone? Or do they check for wristbands? (Will they not let me in Saturday night because I have a Sunday only ticket?)
[312] Sarah (2010/07/26 Mon 23:01) mail
I don't know about camping, but the Palace of Wonder is free for absolutely everyone. It's located outside of the main gates so you don't need any kind of wristband to get in. Just show up and enjoy the party!
[313] Shawn (2010/07/27 Tue 01:08) mail
Hi Sarah
Once you get camp ticket, it's available for campsite,
from Thursday to Monday 12PM.
If you don't get camp tikects, you can get at entrance.
Have a good time!!

I will be attending the shows in July, I have 2 questions about transportation.
I plan on purchasing the Seishun 18 ticket, I was curious if using the ticket to take the "Moonlight Echigo" Between Shinjuku and Niigata.
is this the cheapest route? And what problems should I expect?
Also we would like to arrive early on thursday, What time do the shuttles start? Or what is the earliest we can get into the festival.

Hello ladies and gentlemen,
I'm having a problem purchasing my tickets. The thing is that I made the payment already with Paypal, is already confirmed by them, but I haven't received the confirmation e-mail from the Fuji Rock tickets organization (BASEMENT MOVEMENT Co., LTD) and I made this last monday. I emailed them but I don't have an answer. They haven't charged the tickets to my credit card yet, is very strange.
Has anybody have or had same situation? What should I do?
Thanks a lot
[225] Miguel (2010/05/05 Wed 20:17) web
Problem solved. It just takes a little while until they send you the confirmation e-mail. Impatient me! :P
[229] Miguel (2010/05/07 Fri 00:56) web
Hello Miguel,
How long does it take for you? Last Monday means the Monday on the same week that you asked this question, or a week before? Because I've been waiting for 7 days already. I didn't have Paypal account before, so I clicked on the link in email and finished the transaction before I activated the account. (Now the account's activated though.) I also sent email to them but never get any answer. I hope I get the ticket confirmation email soon 'cause I need to see Thom Yorke! also Muse!
[267] Pa (2010/07/05 Mon 20:12)
Hi Miguel,
Don't worry, it took a while prior I got the email confirmation. You should receive it soon.
Cheers,

Me and a mate have tickets to this years festival (3 day) but unfortunately were unable to get a campsite pass or a car pass.
Is it possible to get one now (even though it says not sold separately)?
or can someone reccomend somewhere (possibly a way away) to stay. Or somewhere else to camp?
Thanks

hi joe
no worries! campsite pass is always available at the external shop area during FRF. so you can buy it there at the day :-) have a fun!

hello everybody,
i am a bit lost, perhaps you can help me. i fyl to japan tomorrow, 1st time. I'd love to visit fuji-rock, and i wrote to the official english accomodation site, but i did not get a repy. what is the accomodation situation like?
will if ind something without pre-booking (i guess not)
will there be tickets available to buy in japan?
how much are tents?
do you have any recommendations for going to fujirock easily? what should i do?
thank you
[300] chris (2010/07/19 Mon 17:02) mail
Hi. You needn't worry about the ticket. You can buy it at the gate and it's rarely sold out.
But it's almost impossible to find somewhere to stay 'cos most of all inns or hotels are fully booked during the festival. The best way is taking your own tent and stay at the camp site. If you can't, why don't you ask someone to accept your stay?
I hope you can have a nice time^^
[301] Sue (2010/07/22 Thu 15:29)
Hello I'm from Korea, and I plan to rent a car and drive to the festival. But I couldn't buy a car pass because I used the engligh ticketing site.
Is there any way I can get a car pass now from another site?
Or is it possible to get a car pass when I get to the festival?
Do car passes run out?
Please help!
